How We Are Financed

Doorway is funded by both financial contributions and contributions 'in kind'

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army Chippenham Corps has contributed staff time, premises and facilities including office accomodation, insurance, cleaning and maintenance, free of all charge equivalent to approximately 25% of Doorway's running costs i.e over £18,000. More information

  • The Building Safer Communities initiative through the North Wiltshire Community Safety Partnership and the Wiltshire Drug & Alcohol Action Team
  • The Community Foundation for Wiltshire & Swindon
  • The Jack Lane Charitable Trust
  • Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales

and donations from individuals, Churches and other Organisations.

It should be noted that The Salvation Army, as a matter of principle, will not accept funding from sources related to profits from alcohol consumption or gambling. This means that Doorway is unable to approach the National Lottery or some Trusts related to the leisure industry for support.
