Gift Aid
If you are you a UK tax payer you can boost your donation by a further 25% of the value by donating Gift Aid. The value will be reclaimed by Doorway from the tax (Income and or Capital Gains Tax) you pay for the current tax year. We just need your consent and your registered address as a UK tax payer. You can download the form here which will cover a single donation and all future donations you make until you notify us of a change. You can complete and send it in the post, or email a scan or clear photo to . An email with donation details, your full name and address and permission to claim gift aid is also fine!
The extra funds from Gift Aid really do add up so please do take a moment to make sure we can claim it on your donation if you can.
*Please note that when you use Paypal to donate there is no prompt to add Gift Aid but you can still do so if you send your permission via the form or an email.

Simply send a text message to 70070 including our code – DOOR18 – and a monetary amount:
You can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10. After you’ve sent the text, you’ll receive a confirmation text back containing details on how to add Gift Aid, meaning Doorway could benefit from an extra 25%.
This service is free for Doorway, and anyone on any mobile network can use it to donate to the organisation.
Your donation will be deducted from your mobile phone credit, or added to your monthly phone bill. You won’t be charged for the text message either.

Thank Yous
We have always endeavoured to show appreciation in some way for every donation we receive, and are extremely grateful for the ad hoc donations we receive from individuals and organisations that really do keep Doorway going.
However, due to part time staff, the cost of stamps rising and busy and challenging periods we would like to apologise if we don’t get back to you straight away or you don’t receive a personal note of thanks every time.
Some of our donations platforms have automated responses to say that your money has been received, others don’t. If you are ever unsure please contact the Administrator on 01249 445385 / .
If you do make a financial contribution and would definitely like us to acknowledge it, please let us know and provide an email address if possible. We will always be more than happy to send a certificate of thanks, especially for a group donation or team fundraising effort.
Please note that we don’t pay a premium for detailed analysis of income from ‘Justgiving’ and other very useful sites like ‘Gofundme’ so if you are fundraising using these, please do let us know the who/what/when and what your total was so that we can congratulate and thank all participants when it’s appropriate to.

Donating items
At the moment (January 25) we are very sorry not to be able to accept donations except warm winter and waterproof coats, robust boots and walking shoes or trainers, new (unused) underwear and sleeping bags and small tents. We currently don’t have working laundry facilities so please do wash and dry any used items that you are able to before donating. If you have other suitable clothing items and can store them, we may be able to accept them later, please watch this space.

Our building is adjacent to Bath Road car park (head for the far corner, undercover area). The Citadel is to the left when you follow the path through the undercover area out onto Bath Road.
