Doorway wins an Aviva Broker Community Fund Award

Doorway is extremely proud to announce that we have recently won an Aviva Broker Community Fund Award for the Community Spaces category.

We were nominated by Karen at PSP Insurance in Chippenham who has supported us over the last few years. There were only 5 finalists in each category with a chance of winning financial prizes of:-

One prize of £15,000 for each category
One prize of £7,500 for each category
And 3 prizes of £2,500 for each category

Mike, Sian, Karen (from PSP Insurance) and I attended the finals award ceremony in London on 16th April and we were all rather surprised by just how prestigious the event was. Hosted by Will Greenwood, the England rugby player, and featuring a champagne reception and a full sit down proper lunch, the day turned out to be fabulously exciting and we were very proud to collect our award of £2,500.

What was most interesting was that three of the five finalists in our category were homeless charities and I am also very pleased that we all won the same amount of money! The fact that our sector has been recognised, by such a huge corporate organisation, as contributing to the local communities is to be celebrated!
