News:- Doorway wins the Chippenham Area Board Community Award

The 2012 / 2013 Chippenham Area Board Community Awards celebrated the commitment, loyalty and hard work of individuals and teams who volunteer in our community. The Area Board was delighted to be able to highlight the achievements of those who consistently go the extra mile.

We, at Doorway, are very proud that our team of volunteer cooks won the Team Award…

Doorway has built up a well deserved reputation for the quality of food provided in our drop-in sessions.

We strongly believe that food should be nutritional and most importantly free of charge.

The Doorway team of volunteer cooks produce a phenomenal two course Thursday lunch on a very tight budget of under £1 a head, for over 60 people each week.

They spend over three hours cooking every Thursday morning but can spend two weeks planning the meal in advance.

The team are talented, very dedicated and deserved to be recognised for their contribution to the success of Doorway.
