Spring Fair 2012
Report by Mary, Trustee and Friend of Doorway
“Although the weather wasn’t on our side the people of Chippenham came in droves and the day was a huge success. Doorway would like to say a big thank you to every one who supported us on the day as well as in the run up. A special mention goes to the Deputy Mayor; the Morris Men of Chippenham; Bowood; Revolutions restaurant; the Pheasant pub; John Iles (butcher) and his delicious burgers; Octoprint; Sainsbury’s; Tesco; Jill at Magpie; and St Andrew’s Church and the congregation who opened their doors to us so we could step out of the rain. Some of the guests manned the stalls along with the brilliant Doorway volunteers along with their families and friends. Without all these people it wouldn’t have happened and we wouldn’t have raised a valuable amount of money. Thank you” The current net total raised at the Spring Fair is standing at an amazing £1569.40 after deducting expenses of £224.00
